African Grey Parrots are wonderful and highly intelligent birds. African Grey Parrots require a serious commitment and are great lifelong companions. We Breed two types of the African Grey Parrot – the Congo African Grey and the Timneh African Grey.
African Grey Parrots are loving, playful, have the intelligence level of up to a five-year-old with the temperament of a two-year-old, and bring joy and laughter into the lives of all who have the pleasure of knowing one. African Greys are known as “Einstein’s” of the parrot world because of their incredible talking ability.
African Grey parrots have been known to live for up to 80 years in captivity, so it’s imperative that those who adopt them can commit to a lifetime of living with a bird.
Generally speaking, it’s best to feed a high-quality diet of species-appropriate fresh foods, including fruits, veggies, sprouted seeds, whole nuts, and sprouted grains — an appropriately sized cage that is cozy and located in safe, low stress but a social area.
Our African grey Parrots are weaned onto an excellent diet of pallets, fruits, and Mixed Vegetables. They are weaned onto fruits and veggies, a soak and sprout mix we make here in the store, high variety seed that we also make here in the store, and naturally colored pellet.

Timneh African Greys are smaller than the Congo African Greys. They grow to 10 inches. They have grey feathers with white accents. Their belly is a lighter grey and fades into an almost white towards the tail. Their tail is not bright red like a Congo but is a darker maroon. Their beaks are also an off white or horn color, and they have a slightly lighter black colored feet then a Congo African Grey.
