Rose Breasted Cockatoos, also know as Galah Cockatoos, are incredibly playful and intelligent birds that need constant stimulation, interaction, and toys. They are not generally noisy, apart from early morning and evening. They are brilliant, enjoy human company, love to learn new tricks, and impress their owners. They make lovely, energetic companion birds, and can have a good talking ability. Due to the playful and affectionate personality, the Galah Cockatoo has become a very popular companion bird.

Rose Breasted Cockatoos are not for inexperienced or first-time bird owners. They need an owner who has plenty of time to spend with them. On average, a Galah requires a minimum of 4 hours outside of cage playtime a day.

They live 50 years, and some even older due to modern, healthier diets, exercise, and mental stimulation. Galah Cockatoos are not a parrot for first-time bird owners, and a lot of thought and consideration should go
into the idea of getting one for a companion bird.
